I've always heard that AG had great customer service and now I believe it. I called about our new Samantha's eyelashes and without skipping a beat, she ordered a new doll for us! DD#2 is SO happy that she will be getting a new doll. Thanks for the advice ladies!
Poor dd thought she could pick out a different doll and have them send that one instead. She very much wants Felicity, which is the doll her older sister got for her birthday. I should have switched who I gave the dolls to...my oldest has dark hair like Samantha but I gave her Felicity and my younger one has red hair like Felicity but I gave her Samantha. Santa had given them each one of the movie's and I gave them each the doll that went with their movie. But, it seems they each like the other doll more. I'll have to ask them if they want to switch.
I know that when Elizabeth arrives next week they will both want her, but she's mine, all mine. I have cleared a spot on my dresser for her already!

Once you get the doll you could probably exchange it, but I would try to convince your girls to occasionally share (if they don't want to permanently switch) and that it would be more fun to have different dolls in the house. That means more clothes!

I wouldn't let them switch. Odds are that one of them is bound to regret it and want to switch back. Then what would you do? I think it is bound to create bad feelings towards AG dolls and towards each other. If your kids are anything like mine, then they have sentimental feelings towards their own doll even if they may think they want their sister's doll. Maybe you can plan in the future to get them each a doll of today that looks like them and that could become a best friend to the doll they already have.
You can call either number: the catalogue number (1800-845-0005) or the website number (1800-360-1861).
I think you are probably right and I won't let them switch. DD2 is already getting excited about having a non broken Samantha.
They are both talking about different dolls for Christmas already! DD1 wants Nellie and DD2 wants Felicity still. We'll see what the fat man brings...
